Acceptable Use Policy

1. General Principle
You are independently responsible for complying with all applicable laws related to your use of our Website and Services. Your use of Bareconnect must not violate any laws in your jurisdiction or the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
2. Certain Business Categories
You may not use Bareconnect in connection with any product, service, transaction or activity that:
2.1 Violates Import/Export Laws
Falls within the Prohibition List of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) or violates the laws of the Republic of Ghana.
2.2 Relates to the sale or purchase of:
- Banned Substances: Narcotics, steroids, certain controlled substances, or other products that present a risk to consumer safety.
- Human Remains: Blood, bodily fluids, or body parts.
- Burglary Tools: Equipment designed for breaking and entering.
- Counterfeit Items: Fakes, replicas, or unauthorized copies of trademarked goods.
Merchants selling items that bear the trademark of a third party must be prepared to provide proof of authorization or reseller documentation upon request. - Illegal Drugs: Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
- Explosives: Fireworks, destructive devices, and explosives.
- Identity Documents: Government-issued IDs, personal financial records, or personal information (in any form, including mailing lists) sold without consent.
- Unlicensed Gaming: Lottery tickets, sweepstakes entries, or slot machines without the required license from the Gaming Commission of Ghana.
- Hate & Violence: Offensive material, hate speech, or items that promote hate, violence, racial/ethnic intolerance, or the financial exploitation of a crime.
- Hazardous Materials: Unregulated chemicals.
- Recalled Items: Products that have been recalled by a manufacturer or regulatory body (e.g., Ghana Standards Authority).
- Unlicensed Financial Services: Stocks, securities, or financial services offered without a license from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Ghana or Bank of Ghana.
- Stolen Property: Goods that have been obtained illegally.
- IP Infringement: Items that infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, right of publicity or privacy, or any other proprietary right under the laws of any jurisdiction.
- Unlicensed Currency Violations: Sales of currency without a valid license (e.g., Forex Bureau license from the Bank of Ghana) and certain unregulated cryptocurrency operations.
- Obscenity: Obscene material or pornography.
- Adult Content: Certain sexually oriented materials or services.
- Weapons: Firearms, firearm parts or accessories, ammunition, weapons, or knives (except as permitted by law with appropriate licensing).
- Liability Risks: Any product or service that is illegal or marketed or sold in such a way as to create liability to Bareconnect.
- Restricted Uniforms: Production or sale of military and paramilitary wears and accoutrement, including those of the Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, and Ghana Prisons Service.
2.3 Relates to transactions that:
- Privacy Violations: Show the personal information of third parties in violation of applicable law (e.g., Data Protection Act, 2012).
- Deceptive Schemes: Support pyramid or Ponzi schemes, matrix programs, other "get rich quick" schemes, or certain multi-level marketing programs.
- Predatory Lending: Are associated with purchases of annuities or lottery contracts, lay-away systems, off-shore banking, or transactions to finance or refinance debts funded by a credit card.
- Arms Trafficking: Pertain to ammunitions and arms.
- Gambling: Involve gambling, gaming, or any other activity with an entry fee and a prize, including, but not limited to casino games, sports betting, horse racing, lottery tickets, and sweepstakes, unless the operator has obtained prior approval from Bareconnect and holds valid licenses from the Gaming Commission of Ghana or National Lottery Authority (NLA), and customers are located exclusively in jurisdictions where such activities are permitted by law.
3. Security Violations
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our system without permission.
- Breach or circumvent security/authentication measures.
- Interfere with service to any user, host, or network (e.g., "flooding" or "crashing").
4. Restricted Items
Certain goods may be sold only with appropriate licenses or permissions, including:
- Alcohol and tobacco products.
- Pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
- Financial services.
5. Enforcement
Bareconnect reserves the right to investigate violations and remove any content or terminate accounts that violate this AUP without notice. We may report illegal activities to relevant law enforcement authorities (e.g., Ghana Police Service, Cyber Security Authority).
