Merchant Privacy Policy
For merchants using Bareconnect to power their stores

1. Introduction
1.1 If you are a Merchant using Bareconnect, we collect and use your personal information to provide you with the use of our platform and its Services, and to help you manage your business.
2. What information we collect, why and how we use it
2.1 We collect personal information when you sign up, use our platform, or provide us information.

3. When and why we share your information with others
3.1 We work with various companies to support your business and may share necessary data with them.
3.2 We also share your information to:
- Prevent fraud or illegal activity.
- Conduct marketing.
- Comply with legal requirements (e.g., Bank of Ghana or GRA demands).
- Pursuant to corporate transactions.
3.3 Bareconnect does not control how non-Bareconnect services (payment gateways, shipping providers) use your data; please review their policies.
4. Your rights over your information
4.1 You can access and correct much of your information directly through your Bareconnect profile.
4.2 We generally keep your information while you use our Services. If you close your Store, we may retain information for two years before the purge process (to account for reactivation or audits). If you request deletion, we begin the process after 90 days, unless legally required to retain specific data (e.g., for tax purposes under the Revenue Administration Act, 2016).
5. Your customers’ information
5.1 We collect and use your customers' personal information as directed by you.
5.2 You are responsible for ensuring your customers understand how you (and we on your behalf) collect and process their data, ideally by posting your own privacy policy that complies with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).
